October 11
On our agenda today was a visit to Yokohama National University.  We were provided a lecture on the history and mission of this unique University, which boasts a proud record of academic achievement among women.  We also met several representatives (faculty and students) of a cooperative venture into International Education at this wonderful institution.

En route to the University, we had lunch on a ship which represented a prestigious piece of history for the locals of Yokohama.
This ship transported the very first Fulbright Scholar from Japan to the United States just after World War II.
